  3. Does Premium Crickets guarantee their shipments?

    We have a live arrival guarantee for insects ordered in quantities of 500 or more, if the shipment meets the shipping conditions listed below:

    • 29◦F and lower: No guarantee 
    • 30◦F-50◦F: Overnight with weather protection 
    • 51◦F-80◦F: Ground/ Home Delivery/ 2-Day Air 
    • 81◦F-85◦F: Standard Overnight with weather protection 
    • 86◦F-90◦F: Priority Overnight with weather protection 
    • 91◦F and higher: No guarantee

    If your order is DOA, please follow the instructions listed in our shipping policy, so that we can rectify the issue as soon as possible. If your order doesn't meet the requirements listed above, we reserve the right to decide whether to send an immediate replacement or simply credit your next order. All reshipment orders have an additional $4.95 processing fee.

    In order to reduce the risk of mortality, please make sure someone is home to receive the package immediately. 

    IMPORTANT: Do not refuse the shipment for any reason! Doing so will void the guarantee and you will be charged an additional $17 fee.

    **In the winter time, crickets will go into a dormant state if they get too cold. Before calling us, place them by a heater for at least 2 hours. There is a good chance they will come back to life.**

  4. What days do you ship orders?

    FedEx Ground and Overnight packages ship Monday - Thursday.
    FedEx 2-Day Air and USPS packages ship Monday - Wednesday.

    There are a few exceptions to this -

    • FedEx will only deliver to residential addresses on Saturday, so if you're a business and order on a Thursday or Friday, it will be shipped the following Monday. 
    • One day zones, such as GA and SC, may ship out on Thursday or Friday if we can confirm it will arrive by Saturday. If it will not arrive by Saturday, the order will ship the following Monday.

  5. What is the cut off time for same day shipping?

    Orders using FedEx shipping options need to be placed before 2PM EST for same day shipping. 
    Orders using USPS shipping options need to be placed before 11AM EST for same day shipping.

    Any orders placed after the cut off times will ship next business day. 

    There are a few exceptions -

    • An order placed on Thursday after 2PM EST will ship the following Monday.
    • An order placed Wednesday after 2PM EST, using 2-Day Air shipping, will also ship the following Monday.

  6. Do you offer reoccurring orders?

    Yes, we do!

    You will need to place your initial order online. Once that's been done, send us an e-mail with the order number, how frequently you would like this order, and what your payment method is going to be.

    Reoccuring orders are put in on Mondays. 

    If you need to make changes to your order, please call or email by 10AM EST on Monday.  

  7. Do you offer refunds once an order is placed?

    An order cannot be refunded or cancelled once it's been placed. 

    If your reason for cancellation is due to inclement weather conditions, we can place the order on hold until it is safe to be shipped. 

  8. If my order is late do I get a shipping refund?

    No, we do not offer refunds on shipping.

    If your package is lost, damaged, or DOA, we can reship the order for an additional $4.95.

  9. What size insects should I buy?

    As a general rule of thumb, measure the distance from eyeball to eyeball of your pet and purchase insects that are equal to or less than that measurement.

    When a herp eats something that is too large, it can get stuck in their intestines, putting increased pressure on the spinal chord. This can cause partial paralysis or may even result in death.
